The Languages Commissioner of Nunavut has been an active proponent of standards in support of Inuktitut. As part of these standards, our office has recommended the use of new "Unicode compliant" syllabic fonts. Unicode based syllabic fonts offer the greatest stability and versatility in the world of Inuktitut computing.
This site, for example, uses "Pigiarniq," a font developed for the Government of Nunavut as part of its transition to this new standard, and the font our office routinely recommends to those interested in Inuktitut computing.

Converts Roman Inuktitut text to and from Syllabic ᐃᓄᒃᑎᑐᑦ text as well as Prosyl/Nunacom/Naamajut text to and from Unicode. Install by copying the Inuktitututilities.dot file into the C:Program Files/Microsoft Office/Office/Startup directory of your computer.
